We have an exciting opportunity for a Fire Safety Officer to join our Compliance & Estates, Property Services team.
As a Fire Safety Officer, you will ensure Eastlight properties are safe and that works undertaken by external specialist contractors and our in-house team, maintain our customer safety and Statutory Compliance.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the Fire Risk Assessment process and experience of specifying and inspecting passive fire protection works to ensure retention of accurate records of all completed works.
As the Fire Safety Officer you will:
- Oversee fire safety workstreams where FRA remedial actions will need to be specified, monitored, and inspected to ensure quality work is completed in time and budget.
- Support a number of fire safety compliance workstreams including FRAs, FRA actions and fire protection equipment servicing (fire alarms, emergency lighting, AOV’s, dry risers, smoke alarms and sprinklers).
- Respond efficiently and effectively to requests for information, including updates and maintain information & databases about the services delivered.
- Carry out site visits to inspect works in progress and sign off completed FRA works.
- Support of management initiatives and assist in developing processes within the Customer Safety team.
- Attend contractor performance meetings, challenge non-performance and support line manager by recording evidence on progress of works on site.

- £41,033 annual base salary
- 6 Month Contract
- 30 days paid annual leave plus bank holidays (pro-rata)
- Group stakeholder pension plan (Eastlight will double, up to 5% of the employees contribution - Employee 5% + Eastlight 10% = Total 15%)
- Annual wellbeing grant of £200 per annum – Subject to eligibility
- Trailblazing family leave [Maternity, Paternity and Adoption – 12 weeks full pay / 6 weeks half pay] – Subject to eligibility
