Role Overview

As our Human Resources Advisor, you’ll be a key player in advancing our HR efforts and supporting MSL’s growth. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you’ll manage a broad range of HR functions, from recruitment and onboarding to policy development, compliance, and employee relations. A Junior HR Administrator will assist you with day-to-day tasks, giving you the opportunity to focus on projects that drive employee engagement, development, and organisational growth.

 

What You’ll Do:

· Oversee day-to-day HR tasks, including record management and ensuring compliance with HR policies and employment law.

· Act as the main contact for HR queries and manage employee relations cases with a fair, solution-oriented approach.

·  Support senior management in enhancing organisation, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

·  Assist managers with performance reviews, setting objectives, and advising on staff development.

·  Develop HR processes that support our business goals and growth plans.

·  Provide practical guidance on employment matters to ensure legislative compliance.

·  Lead recruitment, from advertising roles to onboarding, ensuring a smooth start for new team members.

·  Shape HR processes that support growth and success.

·  Develop and record metrics to assist with attendance, sickness and other events to assist payroll department

·  Oversee employee benefits and performance management to encourage a positive culture.

·  Implement and manage the apprenticeship scheme.

·  Support additional HR needs for subsidiaries.

·  Collaborate with the quality team to uphold and develop ISO 9001 standards.


What We’re Looking For:

 

Essential Skills:

·       Professional HR Certification (minimum CIPD Level 3).

·       3+ years of relevant HR experience, ideally in a similar environment.

·       Experience improving HR processes and developing HR metrics.

·       Good knowledge of employment law and a passion for continuous improvement.

·       Strong IT skills, including proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.

·       Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proactive, problem-solving approach.

·       Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively with a keen attention to detail.

 

Desirable Skills:

·       Experience in an ISO 9001 engineering environment

·       Knowledge of apprenticeship schemes

·       Familiarity with ERP systems

·       Experience with automating basic tasks to increase efficiency
