The Senior MI Analyst will lead the development and optimisation of Power BI solutions to empower operational teams across the business in achieving their strategic objectives. The role involves the design, development, and maintenance of advanced Power BI dashboards and reports, providing critical insights into sales and service performance. This position demands a strong expertise in Power BI development, particularly in DAX and SQL, along with a commitment to ongoing learning and skill enhancement.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop advanced Power BI dashboards and reports, utilising skills in DAX and SQL to create dynamic data visualisations.
  • Optimize and enhance Power BI solutions to meet changing business requirements and deliver impactful insights.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to understand their data analysis needs and customise Power BI solutions for actionable insights.
  • Communicate complex data findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and accessible manner.
  • Champion continuous improvement in the MI delivery process, using Power BI skills to streamline reporting and increase efficiency.
  • Provide technical mentorship to team members, fostering growth in Power BI competencies.
  • Oversee KPI governance, ensuring accuracy and relevance in KPI metrics through technical expertise.
  • Manage the day-to-day allocation of business-as-usual (BAU) work, prioritising tasks effectively using a deep understanding of Power BI development.


Skills:

  • Strong team player with the ability to build relationships across senior stakeholders and communicate honestly.
  • Experience in delivering management information (MI) through data visualisation tools (preferably Power BI) within operational teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Working towards or holding a Power BI professional accreditation.
  • Proficient or working towards proficiency in technical disciplines such as DAX, SQL, R, and Python.
  • This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced MI professional to significantly impact the business, mentor the next generation of MI professionals, ensure the accuracy of KPIs, and enhance technical skills in DAX, SQL, R, and Python.
