Syteline Business Systems Analyst

Location: West Midlands

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Business Systems Analyst to manage and improve our core systems. This role involves overseeing ERP systems and providing solutions that enable business operations to run efficiently. You will be working closely with internal teams, supporting system infrastructure, and managing change requests. The ideal candidate will have experience in ERP environments, software development, and project management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ownership of ERP services, focusing on system maintenance, support, and enhancements.
  • Incident and problem resolution for ERP and associated services.
  • Management of web services, databases, and other business-critical applications.
  • Facilitate communication between IT and other departments, translating business needs into technical requirements.
  • Provide programming support (e.g., .NET, SQL) for systems maintenance and reporting using tools like Power BI, Crystal, and SSRS.
  • Lead the validation, testing, and deployment of system changes.
  • Work closely with third-party vendors to ensure the delivery of services and projects.
  • Participate in IT-related projects and occasionally work outside regular hours to meet business needs.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience in a similar role involving ERP systems and business analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of software development languages such as Visual Basic and C#.
  • Experience with database management, particularly SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with ITIL and PRINCE2 frameworks at a practitioner level.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage workload efficiently and provide timely reports to stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality customer service.
