Head of Technical Management- Carbon Projects

Led by a highly respected team with deep technical expertise across nature-based and engineered removal projects, their leadership team brings decades of combined experience in scaling climate solutions.


Role Overview

We are looking to hire a Head of Technical Management to build and oversee technical standards across a growing portfolio of carbon projects. This role will be central to maintaining market leadership in project quality while enabling rapid scaling of operations.


Key Responsibilities


- Design and implement due diligence frameworks for diverse project types across multiple geographies

- Guide strategic decisions on methodology selection and project standards

- Build and lead the technical team while managing external expert relationships

- Enhance operational processes and ensure quality control systems

- Support commercial teams with technical expertise during client engagements

- Shape market positioning through industry engagement and thought leadership

- Implement digital solutions to streamline due diligence processes

- Lead technical review committees and decision-making processes

- Develop technical content for client engagement

- Ensure comprehensive risk assessment across projects


Qualifications and Experience


- Deep understanding of voluntary carbon markets and industry dynamics

- Proven expertise in carbon project standards and methodologies

- Track record of building processes and managing technical teams

- Hands-on experience in carbon project development or verification
