We are searching for an exceptional Financial Controller to lead our financial operations, ensuring precision in reporting and the implementation of robust financial controls.


This pivotal role encompasses managing a talented finance team, preparing comprehensive financial statements, conducting insightful financial analysis, and supporting strategic decision-making processes.


As our Group Financial Controller, you will play a key part in securing our company’s financial health and efficiency, with a sharp focus on long-term strategy, budget management, and financial reporting.


Key Responsibilities:


Financial Reporting and Analysis:


  • Deliver accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
  • Provide senior leadership with actionable insights into the company’s financial status.
  • Oversee the budgeting process, including development, monitoring, and adjustments of budgets and forecasts.


Cash Flow Management:


  • Ensure the availability of funds through meticulous cash flow planning.
  • Monitor and enhance the company’s financial performance.
  • Guarantee timely payments to stakeholders and subcontractors.


Internal Controls and Compliance:


  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Lead the annual audit process, coordinating with external auditors and directors.
  • Oversee tax planning and reporting to ensure regulatory compliance.


Strategic Planning:


  • Assist in shaping the company’s future direction and support tactical initiatives.
  • Guide the implementation of strategic business plans.
  • Collaborate with senior management for effective strategic planning and decision-making.


Risk Management:


  • Assess and manage financial risks, including currency and interest rate exposures.
  • Advise on suitable insurance coverage for the company and its subsidiaries.
  • Implement robust risk management policies and procedures.


Stakeholder Relations:


  • Partner with the Director and senior leadership to develop comprehensive financial plans and projections.
  • Represent the company to financial partners, including financial institutions and auditors.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA preferred).
  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification is highly desirable.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position with a proven track record.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Vehicle Fleet / Sales / Service Industry is preferred.
  • Strong grasp of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., Sage, Oracle, QuickBooks).
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Detail-oriented with high levels of accuracy and integrity.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Performance will be evaluated based on the effective management of the finance department, the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports, success in managing the company's financial health, and contribution to the overall strategic objectives of our company.
