As the Head of Software Engineering, you will play a crucial role in shaping the technical direction of the consultancy. You will oversee the software development lifecycle, ensuring the delivery of top-notch projects while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic vision, and strong leadership skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of 35-40 software engineers and testers, promoting best practices and innovation.
  • Drive the end-to-end software development process, ensuring timely and quality delivery of projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and project scopes.
  • Establish and maintain coding standards, quality assurance processes, and deployment practices.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to inform strategic decisions.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, encouraging continuous learning and development.
  • Manage resource allocation and project prioritisation to maximise team efficiency.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a software engineering leadership role, preferably within a tech consultancy.
  • Strong technical background with expertise in various programming languages and frameworks.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and software development best practices.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and strategic thinking ability.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to influence and motivate teams.
