THE POSITION – Sales Engineer
Navtech Radar is looking for a passionate Sales Engineer to play a vital role in supporting sales and ensuring the successful adoption of our radar solutions. This role is ideal for someone who is technically minded, and interested in pursuing a career in technical sales. This position will provide technical expertise to customers, partners, and internal teams to support the sales process for our Security segment. The role offers a clear development path to more senior Sales roles.

YOUR ROLE
Your new role will involve promoting our solutions, i.e. Advance Guard Product, which is our radar-based security system. These products provide our customers with automatic continuous surveillance and intelligent transport system capabilities.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Provide in-depth technical knowledge and expertise on our solutions to assist customers and partners around the globe in understanding and evaluating our products.
- Organise and execute technical product demonstrations to showcase the capabilities and benefits of our solutions to potential clients.
- Work closely with customers to understand their specific needs and tailor our solutions to meet their requirements.
- Train partners, consultants, and system integrators on the technical aspects of our products, enabling them to effectively promote and sell our solutions.
- Gather and relay valuable customer feedback and insights to the Product Manager, contributing to product enhancements and new developments.
- Present our technology at events and trade shows, highlighting technical advantages and applications.
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure that technical questions and challenges are addressed during the sales process.
- Liaise with and respond promptly to enquiries by both phone and email, understanding the project and customer requirements.
- Coordinate documentation associated with tender enquiries and customer visits.
- Assist with commercial contracts and coordinate Purchase Order Agreement signoffs and handovers to the Project Delivery Department.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Desire to learn and understand the technical products we develop and the applications they serve.
- Technical background with an engineering or business qualification.
- Willing to travel internationally from time to time to work with customers and partners.
YOUR COMPETENCIES
- Motivated to drive for results with a high attention to detail.
- High level of curiosity, with the ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to identify and resolve technical challenges during the sales process.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective customer interaction and presentation.
- Able to work collaboratively with the sales team and cross-functional teams.
- A commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction by addressing their technical needs.
Candidates will need to hold valid right to work in the UK and a UK Driving License. Travel is required for this role; approximately 20% of the time, including occasional international travel. As you will be supporting our customers around the world, there may be times when you will work outside of normal office hours.
