You’ll be responsible for the full project lifecycle — from design through implementation and commissioning — using technologies such as PLCs, DCS, SCADA, MES, and historian systems.The role suits a hands-on engineer who enjoys technical challenge, client interaction, and seeing projects through from concept to completion.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop control system software for PLC, DCS, SCADA, MES, and historian platforms.Create detailed design documentation and system architecture specifications.Design and test electrical control panels to meet compliance and safety standards.Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).Lead site commissioning activities for both software and hardware components.Collaborate with project teams to ensure high-quality, compliant automation solutions.Skills & ExperienceMinimum 5 years’ experience in industrial automation or control systems.Strong programming experience with PLC/DCS platforms and SCADA configuration.Experience with systems such as Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, or Emerson DeltaV preferred.Familiarity with validation protocols and quality standards within regulated industries.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.Degree in Electrical, Automation, or related Engineering discipline.Willingness to travel across the UK, Ireland, and occasionally Europe (approx. 35–40% per year).Compensation & BenefitsSalary: £50,000 – £60,000 per annum (depending on experience)Health insurance – from day one25 days’ holiday plus public holidaysPension planEmployee referral bonusOn-site pay top-up (£40/day)Per diem and travel expenses covered while on-sitePerformance/profit bonus after 24 months (paid bi-annually)Why ApplyThis is a chance to join a respected global automation organisation known for its technical independence and collaborative culture.
