Role: Senior Sales/Business Development Specialist

Type: Permanent, Full-time

Location: UK - 1/2 days a week in field/customer site & 2/3 days a week in office/home

Salary: €160K OTE (60/40 Salary/Commission split) + car allowance/company car + company benefits


Our client, a leading global technology company, is seeking an experienced Senior Sales/Business Development Specialist to spearhead business development efforts within the rapidly growing Enterprise AI sector. This role focuses on early-stage opportunity identification and development in industries such as Banking and Telecoms, with the aim of shaping deals and transitioning them to specialised sales teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Drive early-stage identification and shaping of enterprise AI opportunities, building relationships with AI practitioners and decision-makers.
  • Strategic Partner Engagement: Collaborate with key partners in the AI ecosystem to align offerings with market trends and growth opportunities.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with inside sales representatives and mid-stage specialists to ensure seamless transitions and strong deal momentum.
  • Market Leadership: Act as an evangelist for AI solutions, influencing internal strategy and showcasing solutions to clients across diverse industries.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong connections with both internal stakeholders and external partners to expand the company’s presence in the AI market.


Required experience/skills:

  • 10–15 years in sales, with a strong focus on Enterprise AI, HPC, or related fields.
  • Experience working for large IT Solutions providers or emerging AI/cloud providers/ consultancies.
  • Proven experience selling to enterprise AI practitioners or decision-makers within industries like banking, telecoms, or manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with AI platforms, HPC technologies, and related hardware/software ecosystems.
  • A history of success in business development roles, with experience identifying and growing new opportunities in innovative markets.
