Corporate Business Development Manager
Tate is recruiting for a 'Corporate Account & Business Development Manager' who will provide a dedicated engagement service with a select group of highly valued members to encourage their collaboration, provide regular touch points to and aid longer-term retention whilst also sourcing and working a pipeline of potential corporate clients around Hertfordshire who you would target as signing up as additional members.
This is a sociable position and although office based out of Hatfield each day, will require you to also get out and about around Hertfordshire attending events and meeting up with customers and networking associates.
You will need to be a car driver and flexible with your time - occasionally events might be early starts.
We envisage this permanent position is suited to someone accomplished with B2B customer engagement, either previously in sales, service or account management, who is comfortable working to KPI and overcoming objections.
You should exude a professional and confident persona to hold conversations with customers at all levels and varying industries and an interest in business and commerce would be an advantage. This is not a hard sell approach, but it requires credible business conversation and a consultative approach that is topical and well-pitched at your professional audience.
A little about what you can expect to be doing:
You'll be talking to customers every day, exploring how they can get more from your service, offering advice, booking service review appointments, obtaining feedback and ideas and answering any questions. (as a ballpark figure, you'll be having 25+ customer conversations a day)
- Generating additional revenue through up-selling to existing customers, for example to sponsor events.
- Engaging regularly with existing customers (members) to suggest collaboration ideas on projects, campaigns, focus groups, editorial content etc.
- Working a sales pipeline of potential new corporate customers, ascertaining the right contacts, engaging in exploratory and value added sales conversations.
- Inviting and hosting guests at networking events.
- Using the CRM system to obtain and update customer information. Setting up new customer accounts.
- Attend team meetings to participate in business plans, customer engagement ideas, share feedback and be included in future planning.
- Working on delegated projects, sometimes solely or as part of a team.
- Supporting the Events team occasionally, prepare table plans, name badges, event set up and close down.
This job will provide:
- Full time, permanent work 9-5pm Monday to Thursday and 4.30pm finish Fridays.
- 1 hour lunch break, with kitchen facilities, indoor and outdoor rest areas and local amenities on hand. Modern, bright office environment.
- Car Parking
- Mileage on journeys to and from the office
- 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
- Pension scheme with 5% employer contribution
- Private health insurance after 6 months
