Salary: £40,000 – full-time, permanent
Location: On-site
Start Date: ASAP

U-Live & AMAAD curate and produce events across the London, UK, and Europe. From greenfield festivals and palatial concerts to clubs shows and immersive experiences in unique and unusual spaces, our events take customers on unparalleled journeys.
The Prospect Building
An old torpedo testing site within the bounds of the cities ambitious regeneration project for the Temple Quarter, our vision for The Prospect Building is to build a vibrant, creative, and versatile event space.
Overview
This role will play a critical part of developing the venue; building, leading and co-ordinating a multi-disciplinary team of core staff, contractors, freelancers, and suppliers efficiently and to budget. The post holder will drive the balance between creative vision, audience and client experience, practical considerations, budget constraints, legislation and safe operations.
Duties
Specific duties of the role will include, but may not be limited to:-
- Overall responsibility for running the venue, to budget and safely.
- Leading and coordinating the core and freelance team.
- Working with all departments to get them functioning harmoniously to the same aim in line with venue strategy and development plans (following direction from Project Director).
- Constantly reviewing effectiveness of all venue activity, including debriefing all events with a view to improve delivery and venue function.
- Driving the commercial viability of the venue.
- Budget mgmt. Streamlining all costs, brokering deals, benchmarking and tapping into wider company deals if appropriate.
- Ensuring procurement, purchase ordering, approval and payments processes are followed, and reporting on budget and planning status on behalf of the venue team.
- Ensuring agreed project deliverables, timelines, deadlines, and budgets are kept to, flagging foreseeable issues with relevant members of the team as they arise.
- Event Managing a selection of events (approx. 3 a month)
- Working with promoters, clients, and 3rd party hirers to deliver their events. Procure and brief relevant staff, coordinate planning, ensure relevant info is shared, and planning documents are up to date.
- Streamlining companywide processes (file sharing for EG) to suit the needs of the venue.
- Work with the team on venue, site and production development, operations, safety, and building works.
- Liaise between venue team to facilitate commercial, content and operational partners such as (but not limited to) bars, sponsors, food & retail vendors/ partners, artist liaison teams, media teams.
- Overseeing implementation of relevant legislation and best practice, maintain and review full suite of venue documentation, including but not limited to H&S policy, production packs, venue info, accessibility policy, EMPs.
- Represent the venue with local stakeholders such as residents, community representatives ensuring appropriate consultation around the issues that are important to them.
- Lead on licensing compliance, ensuring relevant actions are taken to ensure event complies with licence conditions.
- Work with marketing team to ensure website and socials are up to date with current info
- Forward planning (to 2026 and beyond), suggesting changes and ideas.
Personal Specification
Essential
- Extensive (5 years) project management experience running multi-faceted projects / events.
- Excellent working knowledge of green field festivals and/or events and/or venues.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience successfully coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively at all levels and via all mediums.
- Competent IT literacy including MS Office (notably XL), Google Drive, file sharing platforms such as Dropbox.
- Proven ability to manage budgets
- Highly organised, confident, diligent, resourceful and hardworking
- Confident, responsive and pro-active communicator
- Creative and positive problem solver.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Quick to pick up and implement processes, willingness to learn and develop.
Desirable
- Up to date knowledge of event industry best practice and regulatory requirements.
- Capable CAD user for 2d site/ floor planning (Vector Works preferably or Autocad)
- Relevant event focused Health & Safety Qualification(s)
- Experience of Event Site Management.
- First Aid Qualification(s)
