What You'll Do:

The Endeavor Broadcast IT team is responsible for supporting and maintaining the IT infrastructure for the Stockley Park TV production and broadcasting environment. Key technologies include VizOne, Avid, Linux and Windows servers, Cisco networks, Isilon storage, Aspera, Zixi, encoding, and content distribution. The Lead Network Engineer will focus on designing, developing, supporting, and maintaining the current network environment. This role requires close collaboration with the Broadcast IT team, Broadcast Engineering teams, Production Services, as well as other subject matter experts and vendors.   • Scope define and design solutions for new and existing network projects and workflows.
  • Liaise with external and internal system integrators, vendors, SMEs and stakeholders.
  • Participate in knowledge transfer, documentation and information sharing.
  • Maintains overall network Infrastructure and assigns responsibilities within the network team to fulfil daily tasks and projects.
  • Plans, documents, and implements all network related infrastructure projects.
  • Ensures current staff is fully utilized and operating effectively and efficiently.
  • Assists in preparation and execution of network projects.
  • Manages technical delivery and ensures all technical operations run smoothly.
  • Provides projects and troubleshooting assistance to Broadcast and Engineering teams and suppliers to assure timely completion.
  • Breadth of experience across IT in multiple of the following areas: network infrastructure, content distribution, VizOne, tape library, Microsoft and Linux systems.


Working Conditions:

Permanent, London - Stockley Park

Week 1: Monday/Tuesday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday

Week 2: Wednesday/Thursday

Each day is 08:00 – 20:00

  • Produces comprehensive documentation for all network projects.

You Have These:

  • 8+ years working as a Network Engineer
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Strong interest of Broadcast Engineering technologies (VizOne, Avid, EVS, workflows, Post-Production, content delivery, VoD).
  • In-depth knowledge of video/audio compression, transport streams, encoding, and transmission protocols.
  • Understanding and troubleshooting broadcast systems such as automation systems, routing switchers, broadcast servers, and video/audio mixers.
  • Strong experience of architecting and delivering network solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco networking and network design.
  • Knowledge and experience of Windows, Linux Server and Storage Area Networks.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices, including firewall configurations, network segmentation, and secure access controls.
  • Familiarity with Palo Alto, Cisco FTD firewalls and FMC.
  • Familiarity with network protocols, IP video delivery, and cloud-based broadcast solutions.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex network issues including network congestion, security issues, and hardware failures.
  • Experience with Multicast for Nexus and catalyst switches.
  • Familiarity with IPTV systems.
  • Understanding of Cloud solutions.
  • Experience with configuring, maintenance and troubleshooting Cisco firewalls, routers and switches.
  • Experience with EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, static routing, access lists, NAT, VPN (IPsec and SSL).
  • Experience with DNS, DHCP, AD, Linux or PowerShell Scripting
  • High technical ability/aptitude.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and organization skills.

  • Excellent problem diagnosis and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

We'd Also Love If You Have These:

  • Cisco Network qualification such as CCNP
  • Network Security qualification
  • Demonstrable experience to listen and express thoughts and ideas clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing business requirements documentation.
  • Current industry standard certifications preferred
  • Documentation and technical + non-technical writing (plans, process + procedures etc.).
  • Some experience to adapt quickly to change in the work environment as well as manage frequent requirement changes, delays or unexpected events.
