🌟 About the Role

As a DevOps Team Lead at ieso, you'll lead a small talented team of engineers, shaping our infrastructure and CI/CD capabilities to power groundbreaking advancements in digital mental health. This is a hands-on role with leadership responsibilities, blending strategic thinking with day-to-day problem-solving to support our mission of transforming mental healthcare.


📍Office Location: Cambridge, UK (Remote)

📋 Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

  • Line manage a team of DevOps engineers, mentoring and guiding their growth.
  • Set clear objectives aligned with corporate goals and foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and training, ensuring team excellence.

Technical Innovation

  • Own and enhance our Azure cloud infrastructure, driving best practices in networking, security, and containerization.
  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, embedding automated testing and observability tools.
  • Troubleshoot incidents, manage costs, and develop self-healing patterns for our platforms.
  • Be a go-to technical authority, driving guidelines and influencing broader architectural decisions.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Act as a key technical voice in cross-functional teams, fostering alignment and collaboration.
  • Mentor engineers through pair programming, code reviews, and hands-on training.
  • Advocate for and implement process improvements, enabling a seamless DevOps culture.

Strategic Impact

  • Shape our infrastructure strategy, balancing short-term needs with long-term scalability.
  • Champion "build vs. buy" decisions, leveraging the right tools to meet business goals.
  • Represent the team in broader organizational initiatives and contribute to company-wide vision.


💡 What You Bring

Essential Skills:

  • Expertise in Azure cloud services and DevOps principles.
  • Proficiency in Azure DevOps Pipelines, CI/CD orchestration, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
  • Experience with observability tools, automated testing, and incident resolution.
  • Scripting proficiency (PowerShell, Bash).
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with security tooling in CI/CD pipelines.
  • Working knowledge of software development languages.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana, and other tools in our tech stack.
