About the role Interim Supply Chain & Operations Consultant role is a critical appointment, tasked with leading the implementation of key strategic initiatives that will deliver the operational requirements for a successful go-live in both supply chain and production.
You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring that the groundwork is laid for growth and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities:
- Spearhead the development and execution of strategic initiatives to ensure the successful go-live of supply chain and production operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operational strategies with overall business objectives.
- Ensure that all operational procedures, tools, and resources are in place and fully optimised for the launch phase.
- Establish operational key performance indicators (KPIs) to meet production capacity and supply chain optimisation
- Lead, mentor, and develop team capability of delivering on strategic objectives.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation within the operational teams.
- Work closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders to communicate progress, challenges, and solutions related to the go-live phase.
- Identify potential risks related to the go-live process and develop mitigation strategies to minimise impact.
- Manage the allocation of resources, including budget, personnel, and equipment, to support the successful execution of operational plans.
Parkinson Lee Executive Search are keen to speak with seasoned interim professionals, with the following skills and experience:
- Proven experience in rolling out strategies within the food manufacturing industry.
- Demonstrable experience in start-up operations from project management through to delivery of an accredited and fully operational manufacturing site.
- Clear understanding of business P&L/ Working Capital/ Balance sheet
- Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodology
- Hands-on experience in setting up production facilities and supply chain processes.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety and food safety standards and certifications.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
- Experience attaining BRC and ISO accreditations
Our client is looking for someone who is readily available and willing to commit to the assignment for a period of 6 months, dedicating a minimum of 3 days per week. In return they will pay a competitive day rate outside of IR35.
