Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Quality technician at B Hepworth & Company Limited in Redditch. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality of products and services, conducting quality assurance tests, identifying defects, and proposing process improvements.


The job outlined below is the overall skill set we want. However, we are open to candidates who have a fundamental understanding of quality standards. Someone who has a Quality Technician background, and has some knowledge of ISO 9001: 2015. Further training will be provided.


Qualifications

  • Knowledge of quality control processes and methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and quality-oriented mindset
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Experience with quality assurance tools and techniques
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • Certifications in quality management is a plus


Duties

  • Manage quality issues, internal, suppliers, and customers.
  • Identify root cause, instigate corrective actions
  • Product and process auditing
  • Monitor and report on quality-related key performance indicators including scrap monitoring and rework levels
  • Monitor and report on Supplier Key Performance Indicators
  • Liaising with customers on First Article Inspection and Factory Acceptance Tests
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities
  • Write reports and present progress at meetings
  • Attend various meetings and action/communicate instructions
  • Plan projects or sub-tasks so they may be tracked and presented


Skills And Attributes:

·        A meticulous approach and strong problem-solving/root cause analysis skills

Qualifications and Experience Levels: Desirable

·        Experience of dealing with customers and suppliers

·        Level 3 Certificate in Quality

·        Knowlege of CQI/IRCA Certificate in Auditing for ISO 9001 : 2015
