The Contemporary Chorus Ltd is seeking a dynamic and talented Choir Director to lead our vibrant choir. The ideal candidate will have a passion for pop music and a strong background in music education, vocal coaching, or choir direction. This role involves leading 30 rehearsals per year, delivering the required repertoire, following the established rehearsal structure, interfacing with our customers, and building a cohesive and supportive community within the choir.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead 30 rehearsals per year for two choirs (60 sessions total) ensuring each session is engaging, productive, and aligned with the choir’s objectives.
• Deliver the required repertoire with attention to detail and artistic expression. • Follow the established rehearsal structure to ensure consistency and progression. • Interface professionally and positively with choir members, creating an inclusive and supportive environment.
• Build and maintain a coherent and connected community within the choir, fostering a sense of belonging and mutual support among members.

Essential Skills:
• Competent singer with a strong vocal ability.
• Some competency on the piano, sufficient to support choir rehearsals.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
• Background in music education, vocal coaching, or choir direction.
• Passionate about pop music and knowledgeable about contemporary genres.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate choir members.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
