Salary:                             £34,263 per annum


We are looking to recruit a Housing Officer at SHAL Housing Ltd in Bridgwater, Somerset. This role can have a far-reaching impact on the lives of others and can be incredibly rewarding to those who are passionate about providing help and support within their local community. You will need to be someone who respects and trusts others and who believes that by working together we can achieve more than we thought possible. 


We are a community-based provider of social housing with approximately 750 homes across Somerset. Our purpose has always been to build and let homes for families and individuals who are homeless and in housing need.


To be successful here, you will need to share and reflect our values and be someone who genuinely cares about people. You are a friendly and approachable person who prefers working with others to find solutions to difficult problems. You will be resilient, tenacious, able to work by yourself, have a keen eye for detail, be confident enough to have courageous conversations, make decisions and take action when necessary.


You will live in Somerset or close by or are willing to relocate to Somerset within the probationary period.  Some local knowledge of the area would be beneficial. A full driving license is essential. You will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check.


The salary for the role will be £34,263 per annum, plus an essential car allowance of £1,239, and will be subject to a cost of living pay review from April annually.
