ROLE OVERVIEW

Responsible for architecting, upgrading, monitoring, and maintaining GRIDSERVE’s IT

systems. A confident technical leader, you’ll be working closely with the Azure and Information Security teams, as well as delivery and service leads, to ensure GRIDSERVE’s systems are integrated and administered securely and according to best practice.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Architecting, providing expert guidance on, and delivering systems integrations
  • Documentation of systems integrations, bringing changes through CAB, and training colleagues to support and troubleshoot issues.
  • Establishing monitoring and a programme of operational change to ensure proactive management of systems
  • Technical leadership on systems incident management
  • Azure monitoring for patching and tagging, and reporting on compliance and budget utilisation
  • Ownership of end user device patch management activities ensuring laptops, tablets and mobile phones are running supported operating systems, centrally monitored, and patched regularly and as required for critical updates
  • On premises server management including establishing and managing monitoring, and upgrades, and patching
  • Establishing and maintaining backup solutions for cloud and on-prem servers and applications, with appropriate RPO and RTO in place to support business requirements
  • Management of 3rd Line Systems Support Analyst
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes including anti-bribery policy and Environmental and Quality Management System, compliant with ISO standards.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Designing, documenting, delivering and supporting a broad range of IT systems
  • Application of EntraID best practice in an enterprise environment
  • Configuration and use of Azure DevOps
  • Proven ability to deliver projects
  • Working effectively with 3rd party vendors
  • Line management, coaching or mentoring
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills


Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • ITIL v4
  • Relevant certifications, such as Azure Fundamentals and Azure Administrator
