The company began its journey in 1979 when the founding team designed and built the first electronic-point-of-sale (Epos) system. The technology is deployed in more than 16,000 sites across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for mobile applications using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
- Experience in automated software testing, with a focus on mobile app testing.
- Execute automated tests to validate mobile app functionality, performance, and compatibility across different devices and operating systems.
- Identify, prioritize, and report software defects specific to mobile platforms, ensuring timely resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand mobile app requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Continuously evaluate and improve mobile app testing strategies and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in automated software testing, with a focus on mobile app testing.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools and frameworks for mobile app testing (e.g. React Native, Selenium).
- Strong understanding of mobile app testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience with manual testing of mobile applications on various devices and platforms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) is a plus.
- ISTQB or similar certification is preferred.
