The Opportunity

Our client, a leading construction specialist, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyors to join their team, working on planned social housing refurbishment schemes across the Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a well-established organisation that is dedicated to delivering excellence in affordable housing.


The Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in supporting the Commercial team, managing multiple projects, and ensuring financial and contractual control. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Project cost control – overseeing budgets and ensuring financial efficiency.
  • Cash flow management – contributing to effective financial planning.
  • Sub-contractor administration – managing contracts, valuations, and payments.
  • Risk identification & mitigation – ensuring projects remain on track.
  • Client & stakeholder liaison – attending meetings and site visits as required.


What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in planned social housing refurbishment. The ideal candidate will have:

✔ Proven experience in housing refurbishment projects.

✔ Strong commercial acumen and cost management expertise.

✔ Excellent communication & negotiation skills – able to liaise confidently with clients and sub-contractors.

✔ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.

✔ A proactive and detail-oriented approach, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
