Marketing Manager


We’re recruiting a Marketing Manager to lead our company’s marketing operation.


You’ll report directly to the Marketing Director, and you’ll have management responsibility for our marketing team and our panel of agencies. It’s a player-manager role that’ll require you to think strategically and act operationally.


We are introducing a range of new products and services over the next 18 months so you and your team will support and manage these product launches, to achieve maximum impact.


Aside from these core responsibilities, you’ll find yourself involved in other business functions, including business development, tech, marketing automation, and customer services. So, you’ll need to demonstrate your wider experience, excitement, and passion for marketing, business & tech in your application for this role.


The role


Our aim is to grow our business sustainably and organically. Your role is to increase the volume of high-quality leads for our B2C distribution channel and to support our business development team to build productive relationships with their brokers.


With responsibility for devising and executing the marketing strategy, your responsibilities will also include:

Leadership— managing a small team you’ll develop and execute the company’s marketing strategy;

Agency management— responsibility for managing our relationships with agencies, and other providers;

Campaigns & launches— responsibility for devising and project managing campaigns and launches for new products and services;

Product collateral— overseeing our programme provide product collateral;

Communications— managing our LinkedIn and email marketing communication programmes to staff, members, and brokers;

Product life cycle— responsibility for the marketing components of our product upgrades;

Lead generation— initiating, managing, and optimising lead generation programmes in the B2C distribution channel, and running campaigns, producing collateral, and providing support to our business development team to build and strengthen productive relationships with our brokers;

Cross-selling— devising and launching a programme to cross-sell insurance products to our new and existing members.


About you


You have at least 10 years’ experience in marketing (including marketing to insurance brokers) and have worked for a private health insurance or life insurance insurance company, broker, or aggregator.


You are customer focused, and conduct yourself with integrity. You demonstrate critical thinking and consider a broad range of perspectives, information, risk managing, and future planning in your decision making. You see things clearly and follow through with action and delivery.


You have experience managing agencies and also have the capability to get things done in-house, as outsourcing should be an option, not the default.


You have a knowledge of SEO and content marketing; competency with design software (e.g., InDesign, XD, Figma), basic digital marketing tools (e.g., GA4, Ahrefs, Search Console), and reporting software (e.g.,Looker Studio, Power BI); experience with advanced digital marketing platforms (e.g., HubSpot, ClickDimensions, SalesForce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Marketing Cloud, DynamicsMarketing); and a good understanding of and commitment to the principles of the GDPR and the Consumer Duty.


You have excellent communication skills and true marketing skills and flair, with an eye for seeing what works and how to get our messages across clearly, and succinctly, with impact.
