One of my key clients based in Bedfordshire is hiring a Senior Trimmer / Interior Trim Specialist.

The company is seeking a Senior Trimmer with a passion for automotive interiors and a keen eye for detail to join our team. As a Senior Trimmer, you will be responsible for crafting and finishing vehicle interiors to the highest standards, contributing to the overall excellence of our products.

Job Title: Senior Trimmer (Interior) - Automotive

Location: Bedfordshire

Salary: £40,000 to £55,000 per annum

Responsibilities:

• Trim and upholster vehicle interiors according to specifications and design requirements.
• Utilize a variety of materials, including leather, fabric, and synthetic materials, to achieve desired finishes.
• Collaborate closely with design and engineering teams to ensure the interior meets aesthetic and functional standards.
• Train and mentor junior trimmers, providing guidance on techniques and best practices.
• Monitor inventory levels of materials and communicate any needs to the appropriate channels.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
• Participate in prototype and concept vehicle builds as needed.
• Demonstrate leadership qualities by taking ownership of projects and providing input to improve processes.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a trimmer within the automotive industry, with a focus on interiors.
• Extensive knowledge of trimming techniques and materials, including leather, fabric, and synthetics.
• Ability to interpret design drawings and specifications to achieve desired outcomes.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Leadership abilities to effectively mentor and guide junior team members.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and timelines.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new techniques and technologies.
