Lead Consultant - Planner

Location: Manchester HYBRID

Type: Full-time

Salary: £80k - £85k

Start Date: ASAP


I am working with an exciting and progressive consultancy seeking an experienced Lead Consultant Planner to join their team. This role involves leading and managing the project planning service for a programme of works, ensuring quality schedules align with established standards. You’ll be the key contact for the Programme Manager, identifying interdependencies, supporting procurement, and improving processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain robust project schedules, aligned with the project’s Level of Control and Project Complexity Assessment
  • Verify cost loading and ensure alignment with commercial processes
  • Analyse Earned Value Management (EVM) data and present it to stakeholders
  • Prepare programmes for Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis (QSRA)
  • Maintain baseline integrity for the portfolio, identifying opportunities for time and cost savings


What I'm looking for:

  • 8+ years of planning experience on construction and infrastructure projects
  • Experience in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office packages
  • Experience working on major construction projects
  • Strong communication and presentation skills


Desirable:

  • Experience with BIM, parametric estimating, and 4D planning
  • Relevant degree and formal project management qualifications (APM, PRINCE2)
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and professional body memberships (APM, ICE, CIOB)


Location & Requirements:

  • Manchester Office (3 days) / Hybrid (2 days)
  • Full right to work in the UK
