The Role:

Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner you will play a critical role in delivering the People plan in our Retail, Commercial DC & Central teams through offering expert ER case management advice. You will be responsible for supporting line Managers on ongoing ER cases across the business and will work closely with the People Team to provide pragmatic, commercial and employee-focused advice and support. You will utilise your excellent communication, coaching and influencing skills to upskill Line Managers and to drive consistency and best practice.


Location: Hybrid, with travel to stores and Watford Support Centre

Contract: 9 month Fixed Term Contract

Salary: £35,000


Key Responsibilities

  • Offer commercially focused ER advice with employee engagement at the heart of everything you do.
  • Support Line managers in managing complex & high level employee relations cases in line with our policies and with a commercial focus for all areas of the business
  • Work with the L&D team to ensure people managers understand and adhere to company policy & procedure
  • Provide training for those Managers who require additional support in managing the Employee Relations cases within their Regions and Departments
  • Build capability of our People Managers by building HR frameworks and tools to drive engagement and understanding
  • Working with the HRBPs and Talent team, continuously review internal policies and processes to drive improvement as a best practice. Ensure any changes are landed well into the business through feedback, working groups and training
  • Work with the wider people team to continuously improve knowledge and understanding and therefore the value and quality of the People team service provided to the business
  • Be proactive in providing thoughts and ideas on how the provision of ER support to the Business can be improved and evolved
  • Work closely with the Senior HR Business Partner and other People team members to deliver integrated HR solutions that align with business goals.
