Senior Research-Scientific Consultant in Wireless and Cybersecurity Technologies

Gigasys Solutions is hiring a full-time senior scientific research consultant on wireless technology and cybersecurity to lead our R&D projects. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing expertise and guidance on 6G wireless technology architecture and cybersecurity research and trends.

The candidate will work on our European collaborative projects and will technically lead them. The position provides an excellent opportunity to work with a team of experts from our industrial and academic partners on cutting-edge research and innovation projects on 6G wireless technologies. Topics of interest for this role are 6G wireless system architecture, cybersecurity, and related topics. You need to have a PhD on wireless technology and an established track record of publications on the related topics, being an innovative and critical thinker, and having strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities:

  • To provide technical contributions to, or technically lead, collaborative research and innovation projects
  • To deliver technology analysis and projects reports on relevant topics  
  • To propose and initiate new research projects

Qualifications:

  • PhD in one of wireless technology disciplines
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research
  • Demonstrated track record of high quality publications
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team, collaborate across disciplines, and build effective relationships
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate and interact with a diverse range of stakeholders in an international environment
  • Openness, creativity, independence, and leadership
  • Attention to details and precision
  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in the following research areas are desirable:

o  Wireless system architectures, orchestration, and management

o  Cybersecurity for wireless networks  

o  Quantum communications and post-quantum cybersecurity

o  Artificial intelligence and machine learning with applications in wireless systems

Work format and condition:

  • The work format is remote for the moment, to be updated to a hybrid format in future.
  • The salary is competitive, based on applicant’s experience and performance.  

Requirement:

The applicant must be residing in UK or Spain
