We’re partnering with a leading reinsurance company to find a Lead Business Analyst. This role is central to managing and delivering key initiatives across their Re/Insurance portfolio, working closely with business areas such as Claims, Operations, Reinsurance Accounting and Delegated Authority.


This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Lead Business Analyst who thrives on bridging business and IT, shaping strategy, and leading teams to deliver impactful results. As the Lead Business Analyst, you will be at the heart of projects, ensuring alignment between technical delivery and business objectives.


Key Responsibilities

This role offers the chance to make a tangible difference. You’ll work with stakeholders across the business, steer project direction, and drive effective resource management. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Defining Business Requirements: Partnering with stakeholders to capture and articulate clear, actionable business needs.
  • Shaping the Strategic Roadmap: Collaborating with Product Owners, Engineering, and Business Teams to align initiatives with company goals.
  • Driving Delivery: Leading business analysis activities for major projects, ensuring they meet business requirements and technical standards.
  • Facilitating Collaboration: Acting as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure seamless communication and understanding.
  • Optimising Processes: Leveraging your expertise to enhance IT delivery and business processes, supporting continuous improvement.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinating with external vendors and partners to resource projects with the right expertise.
  • Mentorship: Supporting junior business analysts, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration.


Key Skills

We’re keen to hear from candidates with the following:

  • Extensive Industry Experience: At least 10 years in insurance/reinsurance.
  • Analytical Expertise: Proven ability to translate complex business needs into clear, structured requirements.
  • Business-IT Bridge Skills: A solid track record of roles blending business knowledge and IT delivery, with strong stakeholder management experience.
  • Knowledge of Market Regulations: Familiarity with Lloyd’s, London Market practices, and EU regulations is a significant plus.
  • Leadership & Communication: Demonstrated ability to lead workshops, manage stakeholder priorities, and present confidently.
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Hands-on experience managing third-party providers and ensuring high-quality delivery.
  • Agile Approach: Proficiency in agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA, alongside excellent documentation and presentation skills.
