Our Company specialises in the provision of mechanical engineering services to a wide range of industrial sectors including nuclear, petrochemical, oil and gas, energy and utilities.
We are looking to recruit experienced Welders to start work immediately in our Fabrication Shop in Basildon and sites in the Essex / London area.
Weld Tests being carried out 11/09/2024 in Basildon Fabrication Facility
Job Description:
- The need to be able to read and fully understand weld procedures.
- To be able to pass performance proving weld tests in accordance with the applicable codes / procedures
· Welding of carbon and low alloy steels, stainless steel, using different techniques and processes as and
when a particular contract necessitate.
- Perform welding operations in the Fabrication Shop and where required on site to lines / tanks in service.
- Fill out and return welding consumable requisitions.
- Ensure all welding tools and equipment kept in safe working order.
- Carry out daily routine maintenance checks such as water, oil levels etc. on all welding plant or equipment
that is being utilised.
- Undertake Company / site inductions and specific training courses, as determined by the Company.
- Have a positive attitude and an enthusiastic approach to work and quality of work produced.
- Work as an integral part of a team, which may from time to time involve assisting other trades in carrying
out their duties in a diligent and safe manner.
- Maintain timekeeping in line with specific site regulations.
- Work within confines of the Company's health, safety & environmental policies and safety guidelines, as
well as applicable client and government rules and regulations.
- Follow all Company procedures, policies, work instructions, method statements, risk assessments, permits,
safety and quality procedures and working practices.
Requirements:
- Have a positive attitude and enthusiastic approach to work
- CSCS / CCNSG Required
Job Type: Full time, permanent & CIS Available
Rate : Negotiable, competitive rate based on experience starting from £22.00 per hour(PAYE)
Self employed Rates negotiable.
Schedule:
- 8 hour shifts
- 10 hour shifts
- 12 hour shifts
- Weekends available depending on site requirements
- 28 days holiday (including Bank/Public Holidays)
- Contract specific overtime available
Experience:
- Welder 5 years (preferred)
