Radius is seeking a talented Senior Commission Engineer / Commissioning Manager for a leading and rapidly expanding Datacentre organisation based in London. Excellent benefits which include PMI, Bonus, Travel Allowance, Car Allowance etc.


Act as Commissioning Engineer in relation to the planning, scripting, scheduling, co-ordination, monitoring and tracking of tests to verify that engineering system installations, upgrades, and replacements are operating as intended/specified.

Advise the Engineering team of any matters not performing as intended/specified and co-ordinate on resolution.

Review designs produced for new engineering installations and identify requirements to support the testing, commissioning, operation and monitoring of systems that should be factored into the system designs.

Act as Subject Matter Expert to external Commissioning teams.

Troubleshoot issues with day-to-day system operation and performance and in conjunction with the Engineering team provide expert commissioning advice in relation in root cause, further tests, system modifications, final tests and validation.

Review the operation of systems for the optimisation of energy efficiency and in conjunction with the Engineering team support the scoping of tests, and additional works to facilitate energy efficient solutions.

Communicate and co-ordinate with project stakeholders, customers, consultants and suppliers. Maintain teamwork.


Design

· Support the development of a project design brief to incorporate matters related to testing and commissioning from the outset.

· Support the selection of an external commissioning engineer subject to project scale and complexity.

· Respond to design RFI’s that relate to testing and commissioning

Factory Acceptance Tests

· Review that Contractor Technical Submittals for plant selections incorporate necessary requirements for testing and commission.

· In conjunction with the engineering team develop a library of test scripts for Factory Acceptance Tests.

· When required, attend and actively participate in Factory Acceptance Tests as a Subject Matter Expert. Monitor that test scripts are fully completed, and any issues recorded for factory or site modifications.

Construction

· Respond to Contractor RFI’s that relate to testing and commissioning.

· Periodically inspect the works to monitor that test and monitoring points have been incorporated and that safe accessibility has been maintained.

Commissioning

· Instigate a commissioning meeting in a timely manner with appropriate attendances an any project.

· Monitor and comment on the Contractors production of a final testing and commissioning plan and comment as required.
