Our client, a global recruitment business is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Financial Controller to support the business in a critical transformation project.


This role is pivotal in maintaining financial accuracy, implementing strategic financial initiatives, and supporting the Finance Director in driving business success.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Monthly and Quarterly Reporting: Preparation of various monthly and quarterly reporting schedules to support SOX internal controls and Group reporting requirements
  • Finance Transformation Progress: Assist in the financial integration process, including the migration of financial data, alignment of accounting systems
  • Audit Compliance: Support internal and external auditors
  • Governance & Compliance: Uphold and enforce financial governance policies, ensuring adherence to group-wide procedures.
  • Treasury Management: Oversee treasury activities, including cash flow management, intercompany fund transfers, and compliance with banking requirements.
  • Board & Group Reporting: Prepare and review monthly board packs, group reporting packs, and provide financial commentary for senior management.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Help with the budgeting process and manage the preparation of financial forecasts.
  • Audit & Tax Compliance: Manage statutory audits, bi-annual bank audits, and the preparation of company tax returns.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for standardization, simplification, and automation to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ad-hoc Projects: Support the Finance Director with various projects


The successful candidate should hold a professional finance qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and should have worked in a recruitment business before.
