MPP is charting the inventive steps and radical collaboration to enable commercial-scale First Projects in this decisive decade.


We are looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Senior Associate/Data Analyst to join our team through the end of the year with potential for a longer term.


Position Overview:

The Senior Associate/Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting our deep decarbonization initiatives, with a primary focus on insights, analysis, and project management. This role will initially focus on insights for COP29 and evolve to support our broader mission to advance the deep decarbonization project pipeline across the highest emitting industry and transport sectors. This includes being a key internal and external point of contact for coordinating with the broader ecosystem of partners to move forward initiatives.


The successful candidate will be strategic in their approach, drawing out insights from projects on the ground and industry data to inform decision-making and contribute to overall thought leadership. They will be able to translate data into actionable insights and compelling narratives to support our mission. They will also have a collaborative mindset with excellent relationship management skills, building strong working relationships within our team, key project partners, and other stakeholders.


This is a proactive role, and the individual needs to deliver autonomously, identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and addressing anticipated needs for the team. The role will require the ability to work to deadlines and be detail-oriented while understanding and responding to shifting priorities and the broader context within which the team operates. Flexibility in approach and ablility to move between multiple activities as required by the project flow is important.


Key responsibilities:


Analysis: Verify and validate progress on the project pipeline, this could include analyzing the impact of policy levers on project outcomes or assessing potential emissions abatement from emerging technologies.

Insight & narrative: Research and derive insights from multiple data sources, on topics such as investments in clean technologies or offtake deals. Develop compelling narratives based on actionable insights in clear, well-structured documents.

Project delivery: Project management support on projects such as techno-economic analysis on clean industrial hubs, collaborating with project teams to ensure alignment and provide strategic recommendations.


Experience:

  • Proven experience in data analysis, preferably within the environmental or sustainability sector.
  • Proficiency in data management tools and software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Familiarity with environmental reporting standards and protocols is a plus.
  • Excellent project management and coordination skills – ability to support a complex programme delivered by a lean team, maintaining direction while adapting to changing circumstances.
  • Flexibility in approach and comfortable in an entrepreneurial/start-up environment.
  • Proactive and self-starter, appetite for working autonomously in a fast-paced environment and and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills, excellent digital skills.
  • Clear, high-quality communication: verbal, written, presentation. Ability to develop compelling narratives based on quantitative and qualitative data, and write concise, well-structured documents conveying clear but subtle messages.
  • Collaborative team player, with strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.


THIS IS A 6 MONTH CONTRACT AND WE ARE OPEN TO LOCATION AS LONG AS THE TIME ZONE IS WITHIN 3-6 HOURS OF THE UK LOCATION.

Compensation

MPP compensates based on the level and requirements of the role. Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
