Senior Manager – Life Sciences - Management Consulting


Our client, a global Management Consulting firm are dedicated to driving transformative change & operational improvement in a range of industries including the Life Sciences sector. They combine industry expertise with innovative strategies to help clients navigate complex challenges and seize new opportunities. They are seeking a high performing Senior Manager to join their Life Sciences consulting practice, focusing on operational improvement and strategic initiatives.


Role Overview: As a Senior Manager, you will play a critical role in leading client engagements, driving operational excellence, and delivering impactful solutions in the Life Sciences domain. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, leveraging your expertise in areas such as operations strategy, supply chain management, logistics, procurement, and digital transformation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage consulting projects, ensuring delivery of high-quality solutions that meet client objectives.
  • Develop and implement operational improvement strategies across various functions, including R&D, supply chain, and procurement.
  • Drive initiatives in demand forecasting, planning, and Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) to optimize performance.
  • Support clients through carve-out and post-merger integration processes, ensuring seamless transitions and operational continuity.
  • Collaborate with clients to assess their operating models and recommend enhancements to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Guide digital transformation efforts, leveraging technology to enhance operational capabilities and performance.
  • Mentor and develop junior consultants, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, as a trusted advisor in the Life Sciences sector.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in management consulting, specifically within the Life Sciences industry.
  • Expertise in operational improvement, supply chain management, logistics, procurement, and related areas.
  • Strong understanding of R&D processes, demand forecasting, demand planning, and S&OP.
  • Experience in carve-out/post-merger integration and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of digital transformation strategies and tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and lead teams effectively.
  • A relevant degree, with advanced qualifications (e.g., MBA, CIPS).
