Role Purpose

The Payroll Apprentice will assist the payroll team in accurately processing employee compensation, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and maintaining the integrity of payroll data. This role provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in payroll operations and contribute to the smooth functioning of the organization's financial processes.


Some of your responsibilities:

  • Assist in entering and updating employee information in the payroll system.
  • Ensure accuracy of hours worked, deductions, and bonuses.
  • Verify and correct discrepancies in payroll data
  • Assist in the calculation and processing of employee wages, salaries, bonuses, and commissions.
  • Collaborate with team members to verify pay calculations before finalizing

  • Assist in preparing and distributing payslips or electronic funds transfers.
  • Provide excellent customer service to employees with payroll inquiries.
  • Collaborate with HR, finance, and other departments to resolve payroll-related issues.

About you:

  • Enthusiastic about pursuing a career in payroll and finance.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, capable of taking initiative.
  • Prior experience in an payroll or finance role is advantageous but not always required.
  • Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant office software
