Hays are recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Logistic Advisor to join our client on an ongoing long-term temporary assignment.



Location: Farnborough, UK. (Candidates should be based within a reasonable commute)

Assignment type: Till end of the year (possible 12 months rolling contract extension where you will be engaged via Hays)

Working environment: Hybrid working: 2 days in the office - 3 days at home is an option after training (1-3 months) based on a blended approach.

Hours per week: 37.5

Pay rate: £13





Responsibilities


  • The function of Logistics Advisor is to organise the end of contract logistics collections process within the Used Car Business department, relating to EOC collection booking. Within the function, the Advisor interrogates contract end dates once an instruction to collect the vehicle is received from the customer.


  • This is to ensure the vehicle is at EOC and an Early Termination calculation isn’t required. Other vehicles not managed by our client may also be required for collection at the customer’s request.


  • Ensure all end of contract vehicle collections are requested and booked in a timely manner on receipt of the request from the customer or customer services team. Arrange all movements and manage all vehicles to their end destination.


  • Effectively deal with customer queries both internal and external in relation to end of contract logistics process. Ensure that information sent to the customer is correct at all times.


  • Resolve queries that may result from the logistics process. Administer and resolve customer queries ensuring the customer is provided with an explanation of the process, providing understanding and confidence to ensure the highest levels of customer service at all times.


  • Ensure end of contract vehicle collections are directed to the most appropriate re marketing location by following channel management rules, to maximise sale proceeds & keeping days in stock to a minimum.


  • To ensure all end contract collections are collected within required time scales.






Skills & Experience


  • Able to work to deadlines & deal with pressure
  • Good geographic knowledge of United Kingdom
  • Able to communicate effectively both written & verbal with staff at all levels. Also able to communicate with key customer contacts & other business related contacts.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with external suppliers.
  • Understand and relate to customers and their needs.
  • The ability to work on their own initiative with excellent judgement skills
