We are currently recruiting for an experienced Employment Solicitor to join a dynamic and innovative law firm. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a highly regarded employment team that supports a broad range of clients, from listed corporations to mid-market and emerging businesses.


Role Overview

As an Employment Solicitor, you will be part of a forward-thinking team that advises clients on all aspects of employment law, with a focus on employer-side matters. You’ll gain exposure to a mix of advisory, contentious, and transactional work, including the design and implementation of HR strategies, managing complex legal disputes, and delivering in-house training programs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice on a range of employment law matters, predominantly for businesses and employers.
  • Manage contentious issues, including disciplinary, grievance, and performance procedures.
  • Advise on complex HR matters, such as workforce restructures, redundancies, TUPE transfers, and pay and grading structures.
  • Support clients through training and HR delivery initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering practical and commercial legal advice.


Skills & Experience

  • Experience in employment law with relevant experience gained in a leading regional or City practice.
  • Excellent technical skills, including strong drafting, presentation, and research abilities.
  • Ability to manage client relationships at a senior level, with excellent communication and client care skills.
  • A passion for employment law, with an interest in providing consultative HR and employment advice.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage competing priorities.
