Company Overview:

Our rapidly growing financial services client is currently seeking a talented Technical Lead to join their team. In this role, you will lead and mentor a small squad of developers, guiding them to success. The technology team at our client’s company is at the forefront of delivering cutting-edge solutions that drive operations and enhance customer experiences. Although acting as a Technical Lead you must also be willing to remain hands on given the start-up environment that you will be working in.


Job Summary:

As a Technical Lead, you will play a crucial role in leading and mentoring a team of talented developers, driving the design and implementation of robust and scalable software solutions. Your expertise in C#.NET, combined with your experience in the financial services or banking industry, will be instrumental in shaping the future of our client's technology platforms. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, architects, and DevOps, to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage small squads of developers, guiding them in implementing domain-driven design (DDD) principles.
  • Mentor and upskill developers, providing technical guidance and support to enhance their capabilities.
  • Drive the squads to deliver high-quality software solutions that align with the strategic goals of the organization.
  • Collaborate closely with product, operations, and data teams to translate the client’s vision into actionable development tasks.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Technical Lead or Lead Developer with a strong focus on C#.NET development.
  • Ability to architect, design, and implement robust and scalable software solutions, specifically using Event-Driven Architecture.
  • Solid understanding of the financial services or banking industry, with experience in developing solutions for trading, payments, risk management, or other financial domains.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (preferably Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.


Additional Information:

Our client is based in central London and requires their Technical Leads to be on-site at least one day per week. Initial interviews are expected to take place towards the end of September 2024 or the beginning of October 2024. This role is ideal for someone looking for a position that will take them through the Christmas period and into the New Year.
