POSITION:

You shall be part of a cross-functional engineering team in the role of process engineer. You shall develop and deliver conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design packages through to CQV for GMP-compliant integrated process equipment and unit operations used in the manufacturing of pharmaceutical drug substances and products.


SUMMARY:

Working under the guidance of a senior engineer you shall be responsible for:

  1. Design Basis Development
  2. Process Alternatives Evaluations
  3. User Requirement Specifications (URS)
  4. Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)
  5. Process Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
  6. Process Integration of Unit Operations
  7. Equipment Plot Plans and Layout Drawings
  8. Equipment Sizing and Specification
  9. Commissioning & Qualification Protocol Development and Execution


SKILLS:

  1. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
  2. Ability to manage and coordinate cross-functional project teams.
  3. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  4. Self-directed, resourceful, and able to work independently with minimal oversight.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.


EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 3+ years of experience within the pharmaceutical/ biopharmaceutical industry preferable.


LOCATION:

The primary work location will be in our main UK Office in Slaithwaite, Huddersfield but will require travel to our Oakville, Canada office. Furthermore, a significant aspect of the role will involve intermittent international travel, including extended periods spent at equipment vendors for Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and at the client's site for Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation (CQV) activities.
