About the Role:

As a Mortgage Underwriter, you will be a key part of the decision-making process, ensuring lending applications meet company policy and risk standards. This position requires a balance of analytical expertise, attention to detail, and customer-focused service delivery.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and underwrite mortgage applications in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Deliver accurate and timely lending decisions while ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Collaborate with brokers, solicitors, and internal teams to streamline case progression.
  • Identify risks and implement strategies to mitigate them effectively.
  • Support the ongoing development of underwriting policies and processes.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering professional growth.


About You:

We are looking for an experienced underwriter who is:

  • Proficient in mortgage underwriting with a solid understanding of financial products.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and skilled in assessing creditworthiness.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong communicator who builds effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Focused on compliance and delivering high-quality service.
