Design Engineer - Bristol


Do you have a passion for creating innovative designs and bringing them to life? Are you an expert in SolidWorks and 3D design? If so, we want to hear from you


We are a Bristol-based company looking for a talented Design Engineer to join their growing team. In this role, you will play a key part in the entire product development process, from initial concept to final production.


Responsibilities:

  • Translate customer requirements and engineering specifications into high-quality 3D models using SolidWorks
  • Develop and detail designs for manufacturability and functionality
  • Perform engineering calculations to ensure designs meet all technical requirements
  • Collaborate with other engineers and departments to ensure project success
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical expertise
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest design trends and technologies


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Design Engineer
  • Proven experience using SolidWorks and other 3D design software (e.g. AutoCAD)
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and design for manufacturability (DFM)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
  • A proactive and problem-solving approach
