What you’ll be doing:

You'll be part of a team of 10 writers within our 32-strong creative department. This is a team with exacting standards and high ambition, where every job is seen as an opportunity to excel. You'll be working with strategists, creative teams and designers to create campaigns that captivate audiences and drive engagement and response.


Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating across the creative team to turn briefs into compelling, impactful messaging and campaigns, from concepts through to implementation.
  • Writing short, medium and long copy for all kinds of assets: thought leadership, eBooks, web content, videos, blogs, brochures, infographics, social campaigns, emails, sales enablement and much more.
  • Adapting your writing style for different business needs, while ensuring a consistent, seamless tone of voice.
  • Taking ownership of projects across their lifecycle.
  • Confidently communicating with agency and client partners.
  • Working in partnership with other agency disciplines, including but not limited to strategists, art directors, other writers, designers, digital designers, artworkers, project managers and client services.
  • Keeping up-to-date with thinking and trends around B2B marketing and writing.
  • Driving agency writing standards using your own work as an example.
  • Questioning and seeking clarity on all project requirements and goals.
  • Supporting and learning from more senior members of the team.
  • Supporting and sharing knowledge with more junior members of the team.
  • Acting as brand copy guardian on your own accounts, and flagging/correcting issues you spot on other accounts.
  • Managing your time effectively and without intervention to meet project deadlines.
  • Understanding that agencies have peaks and troughs, and that extra hours are occasionally required during a project's delivery phase, and that quieter times are opportunities for you to explore value add pieces and develop your craft.
  • Understanding and working to all internal workflow and process requirements.


What you need to know:

We’ll be looking for a varied portfolio of work that demonstrates versatility and excellent writing skills. Strong tech knowledge is essential, as is a fascination with communication in general, and advertising in particular.


A relevant qualification is highly desirable. This may include a suitable degree (minimum 2:1) such as English, Philosophy, Creative Writing or Economics, or a craft-related qualification such as a CIM diploma or a qualification in advertising or communications.


We are looking for a candidate who can go beyond the brief and bring a sense of urgency and ownership to every project they work on.


In some cases this is also a unique opportunity to leverage AI tools and technologies to enhance your writing and deliver high-quality content efficiently.


Specific skills should include:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office including Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc.
  • Knowledge of multiple communications channels and platforms, including digital, social media, video and audio.
  • Ability to work with business admin software such as Salesforce and HR systems.
  • General technology competence, ability to use a Windows-based business infrastructure.
  • Able to use AI writing tools such as Claude, GPT3 and Jasper to generate ideas, edit, perform research, and draft content would be advantageous.
  • Disciplined time management and record-keeping.
  • Strong presentation skills.
