Who’s the business

Zanda is partnering with a rapidly growing SaaS business based in London. Having experienced significant growth and investment, the Founders believe it is time to recruit a portfolio CFO to support and challenge the business on a 1-2 day a week basis.


As CFO you will play a critical role in establishing a data driven, insightful finance function that can help to steer the direction of the business. Alongside this, you will provide excellent guidance and support to the current VP of Finance.


What experiences you will gain

  • Be a key member of the Executive team, providing strategic guidance and support on financial and tax strategies. Interface directly with the Board, Investors, Audit and Compensation Committees of the Board, ensuring they have a clear sense of the overall financial health and potential risk areas of the company.
  • Establishing yourself as a strong “co-pilot” by supporting the CEO in strategic planning and driving the delivery of the business plan.
  • Creating a board pack and KPI dashboard to help steer the senior leadership team with key strategic decisions
  • Providing actionable analysis, insights and recommendations to maximise the companies financial performance
  • Establishing control policies and guidelines that will optimise financial activities throughout the business
  • Implementing an operating model that will support internal expansion
  • Providing financial leadership across the business, presenting and communicating critical financial matters when required


What background should you have before you press apply

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CA or CIMA)
  • Exposure within a venture backed, scale up business that has seen growth past £25m ARR
  • Experienced CFO with VC fundraising experience, Series B onwards
  • Ability to work 1-2days a week with flexibility for more days when required
  • Strong SaaS experience
  • Passionate & obsessive about continuous improvement, demonstrating an ability to test, learn & iterate constantly
  • Excited at the opportunity to join a high-growth start-up, comfortable operating in an ever changing environment and able to adapt and thrive in such a business
