About the Role - Head of Supply Chain is a leadership role, required to supervise and oversee the

strategy, planning and execution of the organisation’s overall commercial and customer experience goals. The role will drive continuous improvement, risk management and alignment with overall company goals to enhance operational performance and customer satisfaction.


  • Custodian of the supplier management framework

• Ensure that there is a continuous programme of dialogue with all of suppliers which is a mix of:

- Engaging with them to seek their ideas and views on the service and brief them of initiatives

- Performance management conversations, both informally and formally as part of the contracting arrangement

- Future strategic development of the partnership with suppliers

• Develop and implement other key tools to assist in the management of suppliers

• Extracting data and other trend analysis to support conversations around performance

• Custodian of the 3rd party retail strategy within England and Wales, focusing on key elements such as:

- Identifying new agents, where value can be derived

- Onboarding new agents

-Engaging with them to develop new approaches to driving revenue

• Explore and develop secondary revenue spending streams

• Lead a team of Customer Service staff at Victoria, ensuring delivery of customer and revenue metrics

• Work collaboratively with the Head of Business Development to enhance our customer offering and be responsible for the onboarding process of new vendors.

• Advocate for changes in other departments’ ways of working and cross functionally collaborate with teams to implement a change, if required, for the improvement of overall customer experience

• Be part of the senior management team who will proactively advocate for change to improve business performance


Overall Responsibility for -

  • Retailed 3rd party vendors/ agents
  • VCS staff in London Victoria
  • Management of current megabus (England/ Wales based) operators.


Person Specification -

• Extensive experience in managing suppliers at a Senior Level.

• A Bachelor degree, or above

• Leadership Skills in a fast-moving, customer-facing environment

• Strategic thinking and foresight: able to foresee market changes and customer expectations and strategies to enable the business to react dynamically

• Experience in contractor management

• Interpersonal, networking and influencing skills

• Problem-solving and analytical skills to ensure we have an efficient online offering

• Ability to understand business objectives and align supply chain accordingly

• Data-driven mindset and a passion for technology to efficiently report findings

• Flexibility to travel as we are a UK wide business
