Introduction
Are you ready to take the next step in your compliance career with a high-profile bank at the forefront of risk and compliance management? We are seeking an experienced Compliance Monitoring Manager to join our client's team. This full-time hybrid role will be a mixture of working from home and from either the Milton Keynes or Glasgow offices.
As a Compliance Monitoring Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping and delivering the compliance monitoring strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
Driving the development and implementation of automated assurance and data-led testing processes.
Designing and leading comprehensive reviews to identify risk themes, potential customer harm, and root causes, while highlighting positive outcomes and best practices.
Managing and mentoring review teams, ensuring accountability for scoping, testing, and reporting on key compliance issues.
Prioritising review coverage to focus on the most significant regulatory and conduct risks.
Maintaining operational excellence throughout every stage of the compliance monitoring cycle.
Supporting the delivery of our consolidated Compliance Risk Assessment, aligned with regulatory expectations and business objectives.
Key Skills and Experience
We are looking for a talented professional with the following qualifications and attributes:
Essential:
Proven experience using automated assurance solutions and data-led testing methodologies within financial services.
Demonstrable leadership experience managing small review teams in compliance assurance or testing roles.
Desirable:
Strong risk perception and identification skills, with proficiency in escalation management and producing high-quality reports.
In-depth knowledge of the FCA Handbook, Consumer Duty, and Retail Banking regulations.
Advanced skills in producing management information using digital tools.
Comprehensive understanding of Risk and Compliance functions, alongside awareness of internal and external risk environments.
