Summary
We have partnered with a leading renewable company, who have recently received investment from one of the largest renewable funds in the world, who are looking to take on a Land Manager for their UK team.
The role
You will primarily be responsible for leading on land activity for the company, taking lead on negotiating Heads of Terms and Option and Lease agreements. You will be responsible for the day to day relationships with landowners and supporting the project teams.
Responsibilities
- Take a lead role in delivering land rights and any associated land matters.
- Represent the organization in negotiating viable land deals that allow renewable energy projects to progress from Development to Build.
- Negotiate and secure land assembly packages on development sites for the organization across England and Wales, potential to support specific areas across Scotland, as the business requires.
- Provide support to the Senior Land Manager and the wider team in their efforts to develop and achieve a successful business plan targets and to provide specific help within land and business development areas.
- Instruct and effectively manage land agents, consultants, and external solicitors in relation to securing land agreements.
- Represent the organization professionally, establishing and maintaining good relationships with landowners, tenant farmers, land managers, forestry managers or others who own and manage land to ensure they are well informed of developments and progress.
- Advise the organization how best to manage their land assets, ideally including environmental responsibilities and obligations.
- Provide professional advice on how emerging renewable energy regulations and practices may affect land strategies.
- Assist with any due diligence activity on land and property matters in relation to any acquisition and/or sale opportunities.
- Keep and maintain up-to-date records including the maintenance of internal systems.
- Liaise with the wider team members to support delivery of projects.
