LiDAR + Imagery IntegrationIntegrate 5–12.5 cm LiDAR/DSM/imagery into ArcGIS/ArcPyDerive roof geometry, tilt & azimuthPerform roof plane segmentationIdentify obstructions and shading lossesBuild 3D meshes / surface models to visualise the UK digital twin2. Solar Algorithm DevelopmentCreate an algorithm that incorporates:Solar irradiation (GHI, DNI, DHI)Orientation & tiltHourly shadow modellingMaximum sunlight hoursWeather patterns (cloud cover, TMY data)3. Panel Layout LogicEnable filtering and customisation for:Panel size & spacingObstruction clearanceEdge-of-roof safety marginsMinimum usable contiguous roof area4. Advanced OutputsGenerate:Usable roof areaOptimal panel placement mapsMaximum system size (kW)Estimated annual electricity generationVisual GIS outputs + spreadsheet-ready data5.
