VP Corporate Development – PE Backed Pharmaceutical Business

THE SEARCH:
Altus Partners are working exclusively with a global private equity backed Pharmaceutical business, headquartered in Central London. Backed by a leading large cap Private Equity fund, our client are looking to implement an aggressive M&A strategy as they increase their global coverage. They are seeking a VP Corporate Development & M&A, to act as a key member of an already impressive senior leadership, and help define the long term strategic plan of the business. This is a hands-on role, that requires the end-to-end execution of M&A deals, suited to individuals with extensive transaction experience.
Opportunity for equity.
THE ROLE:
- Develop and implement the group’s M&A strategy
- Build a best in class Corporate Development/M&A team
- Review analyse and assess acquisition opportunities, including producing and reviewing financial models and acquisition rationale
- Ensure pre-acquisition integration (and separation) planning is thorough and effective
- Drive the overall M&A deal pipeline, including outreach to and sourcing of new opportunities, JV’s etc.
- Establish and maintain key relationships with existing and potential investors
- Work closely with Chief Business Officer on key commercial projects and PE activity
THE REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years of relevant work experience in healthcare or pharmaceuticals preferred
- Experience working with private equity desired
- Experience working in a leading investment bank or top-tier consultancy preferred
- Flexible in a continuously changing, growing environment
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills
