Arthur are delighted to have been engaged by an Insurance company at the forefront of innovation and enjoying enviable global growth, in their search for a senior Lawyer with strong experience in the London Insurance market.


Acting as the number 2 to the General Counsel, this role will lead on a variety of work streams in the legal function, in what is a highly varied and broad position. The structure of the team is such that you will be involved in all Legal work, both contentious and non-contentious, and act as a senior business partner to all functions within the organisation.


On the non-contentious side, you will lead on the negotiation of commercial contracts, corporate matters including transactions and corporate structurings, and advise on regulatory matters.


This is newly created position in what is a growing, and high-calibre legal function, led by a highly experienced General Counsel, who is well known and respected across the Insurance market. This opportunity will undoubtedly offer career growth and personal development, as the team and the business continue their exciting journey of success, with increasing progressional opportunities highly likely.


My client have a highly flexible working policy, with home working encouraged and supported and working hours that facilitate a great work/life balance.


It is essential that you are currently, or have previously worked in an In-House Counsel position in the Lloyd's Insurance market. Profiles without this experience will not be considered for this position. As a general guide, our client is looking for a minimum of 5 PQE.
