Finance Director

Salary: £80-100k

Finatal are working with an investor in the pharmaceutical services/CRO space to appoint a new Finance Director across two of their portfolio companies, one of which is in portfolio and one of which is a start-up platform. The ideal candidate will work with experienced scale-up CEOs to put finance infrastructure in place and give valuable commercial insight to the senior team and investors as these businesses grow.

Experience of professional services, B2B services or a connection to pharmaceutical services/CRO is preferred. The role will require one day per week onsite at London and Bristol, with the rest remote, on a pro rata basis. There may also be potential for one day per week working across the portfolio.

Role Requirements:

Technical skills

  • FP&A – budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, financial / operational analysis (margins / profitability etc)
  • Financial controls
  • Cash management – treasury, debtors, creditors, forecasting etc
  • Manage auditors
  • Tax: HMRC, VAT etc


Soft skills

  • Team player
  • Good communication and influencing skills
  • Proactive and take initiative
  • Updating stakeholders regularly on business performance and challenges
  • Ability to prioritise and multi-task

Others

  • Experience in services business preferred but not must
