The Harry James Group is working in partnership with a globally recognised, smart technologies company who is currently expanding due to market demand and the rapid growth of Battery Energy Storage in the UK and Europe. We are looking for a Project Manager to execute Energy Storage projects and be a leading member of the project management organisation in the region. This position requires a high performing and experienced Project Management professional.


The ideal candidate will have a background in managing industrial construction projects, within renewable energy. This can be a hybrid position, working from home or a local office, while based from our office in the UK.



Main responsibilities:


– Manage Energy Storage project assignments according to signed contracts and the Energy Business Project Management guidelines

– Plan and manage required resources for project execution of the project in co-operation with resource line-managers

– Manage Energy storage customer contracts and act as customer´s first contact point during execution of a project

– Lead and coach project team members involved in execution of Energy storage projects

– Lead and steer site team members involved in execution of Energy storage projects

– Prepare, update and report project execution plan, cost budget, project schedule, project receivables and contract completion milestones.

– Manage contract requirements, risks and issues. Develop risk response strategy and plan

– Lead and steer project engineering, purchasing, logistics and subcontracting activities

– Participate customer meetings and negotiations. Establish and maintain excellent customer relationship

– Demonstrate leadership by following the clients Project Management Methodology and Business Directives

– Apply Project Management best practices

– Support UK and EU Energy storage project sales opportunities



Requirements/Desired Skills:


– Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

– B.Sc. or M.Sc. in engineering (or similar)

– Project Management experience (minimum 3 years)

– Leadership experience and skills

– Good negotiation and presentation skills

– Cost awareness & effectiveness

– Excellent teamwork skills

– Proactive attitude and positive Can-Do mind-set
