Are you a detail-oriented professional with experience in Collateral Management and Agency Lending? My client is looking for a Collateral and Agency Lending Operations Specialist to join their team and support their mission to deliver world-class operational excellence.


About the Role

In this role, you’ll ensure optimal collateral usage, risk coverage, and timely resolution of breaks and disputes. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across Front Office, Finance, Risk, and Operations to uphold a robust control framework and meet business-as-usual (BAU) requirements. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to developing a centre of excellence for Operations while mentoring junior team members.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee collateral processing and exposure risk for Agency Lending, managing accounts daily within client risk appetites.
  • Maintain and review control frameworks, ensuring processes are efficient and compliant.
  • Perform reconciliations, resolve breaks, and handle regulatory reporting (e.g., CASS) within deadlines.
  • Manage client reporting, fee payments, and counterparty claims promptly.
  • Represent the team in internal and external meetings, ensuring clear communication and timely escalation.
  • Support departmental projects, UAT testing, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and present KRI/KPI metrics to senior management, identifying opportunities for growth and efficiency.
  • Foster a positive and proactive culture, supporting team members’ career progression and development.


Qualifications and Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience in a collateral management or agency lending role.
  • Expertise in nostro/depot reconciliation and securities market fundamentals.
  • Strong knowledge of European market standards for fixed income, repo, and equity products.
  • Experience with triparty vendors and collateral optimization.
  • Familiarity with Euroclear and market practices in repo and bond borrowing/lending.
